Job Summary:
The HR Assistant provides essential administrative support for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role requires a team-oriented mindset, while also demonstrating the ability to independently manage and complete assigned projects.
Position Information: Full-time, with benefits 261 work days per year Position Information: Greet visitors coming into the Human Resources Department and assist or direct them to the appropriate HR Department member. Answer incoming HR Office emails and telephone calls: screen emails/calls, schedule appointments and meetings, respond to inquiries, route calls/emails, and record messages. Maintain organization of the HR file room, including filing, scanning, and shredding. Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to department staff daily. Complete Act 168 forms for other employers regarding former Hempfield School District employees. Track completion of all staff evaluations. Process resignations and complete employee exit list items such as deactivating employee files and pulling I-9 form/medical information. Manage absence balances in HRIS and the absence tracking system. Load absence balances for all employees at the start of the fiscal year. Exports absences from the absence tracking system on a biweekly basis and imports into HRIS. Upload class coverage data into HRIS on a biweekly basis. Processes all class coverage forms to convert time to personal days or convert time to payment. Prepare monthly personnel board reports and attachments. Compose and type monthly board letters and memoranda independently. Maintain clearance compliance for all employees, contractors, and volunteers. Process and verify name changes. Alert all departments of the name change and update human resource files/accounts with the new name. Track, assign, and troubleshoot district-wide training within the training platform. Generate purchase requisitions for the HR department. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree required. One to three years of administrative experience Prior Human Resources experience preferred Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable Required Documents:
