Established in 1996, NOVA was originally founded to provide Environmental Consulting, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Materials Testing and Inspection services to the design and construction community, largely in the southeastern United States. NOVA is seeking a
Certified Welding Inspector for projects in the
Charleston, SC
area with some travel throughout the Carolinas. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural steel inspections and QA/QC tests for commercial building and transportation/bridge projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform Structural Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required
Construction materials testing (CMT) and inspection experience is
AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.5 experience a plus

ICC certifications are a huge plus: Structural Welding, Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Structural Steel and Bolting
