Position Overview The Maintenance Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of our buildings, grounds, and agency vehicles. The role involves general upkeep, emergency repairs, and seasonal maintenance, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff, youth, and visitors. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Must hold a High School Diploma or GED General knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) strongly preferred Prior maintenance experience in residential or child care facilities is a plus Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and a physical Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred Note: Construction, electrical, or skilled trades experience is not required but highly valued. Key Responsibilities Perform routine building maintenance: plumbing, painting, electrical, window repair Handle drywall and minor roofing repairs Respond to emergency or unscheduled maintenance needs Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and equipment safely Groundskeeping: mowing, snow removal, landscaping, general lawn care Maintain agency vehicles: basic servicing, cleaning, and reporting issues Deliver food and household supplies to residential units as needed Assist with other maintenance duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds Other duties assigned by Director of Engineering Schedule and Availability Full time. Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM.
