deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
deciBel Research seeks an experienced Software Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the SPA team. This role is responsible for developing data analysis products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.
Due to the nature of the role, this is not being offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field.
Experience Requirements:
5+ years with Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with Master's degree
Demonstrated Experience with Python
Ability to perform software root cause analysis
Experience with Bitbucket
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Willingness to Travel up to 25%
Special Skills Desired:
Experience with object oriented programming languages
Requirements decomposition and testing experience
Experience with Test Objectives in Missile defense.
Strong communication skills.
Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
Willingness to assume a technical leadership role if required.
