operates 24/7 for data processing support. Job Duties
What you'll do: Perform daily operational health checks and maintenance of the enterprise backup environment, including server hardware, OS, storage pools, and backup applications. Review daily backup failure reports and collaborate with Server and Application teams to remediate issues. Install and upgrade IBM Spectrum Protect clients with team members. Coordinate server decommission requests via ServiceNow. Assist with Spectrum Protect client migrations during hardware refreshes. Work with various client operating systems and applications, including MS Windows, Red Hat Linux, IBM AIX, MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, and VMware. Develop architectural strategies and contribute to long-term vision, identifying gaps and testing backup strategies. Build skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, and storage technologies.
