The Army Holistic Health and Fitness (H2FIT) contract is a premier initiative to enhance soldier readiness, optimize physical and non-physical performance, reduce injury rates, and support rehabilitation post-injury. The SCC is part of the H2FIT Performance Teams, developing, implementing, and overseeing strength and conditioning programs to enhance physical performance and reduce musculoskeletal injuries at Brigade, Battalion, and Company levels.
OCONUS opportunities include: Germany (Vilseck & Grafenwoher), Italy (Vicenza), Korea (Camp Casey & Camp Humphreys).
Responsibilities Design and administer strength and conditioning training programs compliant with NSCA CSCS or CSCCA SCCC practices.
Ensure program quality by adhering to guidelines from the Brigade Performance Director (BDE PD) and maintaining industry standards.
Participate in meetings with the BDE PD and H2F Performance Team to discuss physical training programs and provide feedback on Soldier/unit progression.
Document and monitor Soldier/unit progression, proposing improvements to the H2F System.
Manage equipment operations and report deficiencies to the BDE PD.
Support the Lead SCC in developing and managing strength and conditioning programs.
Establish and maintain communication with BDE, BN, and Company leadership.
Implement and manage physical performance optimization programs aligned with unit training schedules and cultural norms.
Create and endorse strength and conditioning programs tailored to unit missions and individual Soldier tasks within the H2F System.
Submit proposed programs for approval and oversee their implementation.
Develop training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations in collaboration with medical authorities.
Ensure educational and conditioning services harmonize with the H2F Performance Team offerings.
Offer mentorship and training to unit fitness leaders and the H2F Integrator.
Guide Soldiers and leadership on injury mitigation and physical conditioning.
Refer Soldiers with potential medical issues to appropriate healthcare services.
Collect, document, and report performance data per BDE PD instructions.
Recommend enhancements to the Lead SCC for the H2F System.
Observe and support specific training events and coordinate scheduling of facilities for approved activities.
Develop strength and conditioning programs in accordance with FM 7-22 Holistic Health and Fitness standards.
Qualifications U.S. Citizenship
The ability to pass a NACI (Tier 1) to obtain access to U.S. Government facilities and systems
Bachelor’s degree in any field
Minimum of three years of relevant SCC work experience within the last 5 years
Or a minimum of two years of relevant SCC work and one year of internship/graduate work experience
Or additional pre-approval by the COR-RA; three years experience waived for H2F SCC interns or graduate assistants working with professional/semi-professional, ROTC, collegiate, or equivalent sports teams for 3+ months
Or three years of experience waived for honorably discharged prior service members or military spouses
Active NSCA CSCS or CSCCA SCCC certification
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR with AED certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Ability to handle loads up to 45 pounds and to meet the physical demands of outdoor training
Ability to travel up to 10% to support geographically dispersed units
Additional desired experience and skills:
Active NACI
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
Compensation and Benefits Salary range for this role is $58,000 to $65,000. Serco considers factors such as job responsibilities, experience, education, and skills when extending an offer. For more information about Serco benefits, see the company site.
