The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is the executive leader responsible for profitability, guest experience, people, and operations. The RGM manages daily restaurant operations, reports to the District Manager, and directly oversees a team of Assistant Managers, Shift Coordinators, and Team Members (20-45 employees). Responsibilities
Profitability
Accountable for the restaurant P&L, actively managing financial outcomes. Reviews key P&L lines to enhance profitability. Drives sales through guest service, team development, and operational management. Guest
Motivates staff to exceed guest expectations with friendly, fast, and accurate service. Manages guest experience and responds promptly to issues. Analyzes guest feedback to identify root causes and develop action plans. Engages with the community to promote the brand and execute local marketing. People
Leads recruitment and retention efforts. Onboards and trains new team members. Inspires staff through recognition programs. Provides coaching to improve team performance. Operations
Manages labor and staffing efficiently. Ensures compliance with laws and company policies. Upholds operational and brand standards. Performs Assistant Manager and Shift Coordinator duties when necessary. Qualifications and Skills
Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or GED required; college preferred. 1-2 years of restaurant management experience. Strong P&L management skills. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Demonstrated leadership and guest service skills. Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Willing to work long and irregular shifts.
