We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our high-performing team and support our New York office. The HR Generalist will report to the Regional Head of Human Resources in Broomfield, CO, supporting employees and managers throughout the entire employment lifecycle.
What It's About We are seeking a highly agile, innovative and autonomous HR Generalist to join our dynamic private equity environment. This role blends strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational execution. You will be instrumental in driving culture, managing change, optimizing HR processes and enhancing employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities Employee Lifecycle Management for US, Canada, and Brazil offices: onboarding, transfers, leave cases (including company-paid leave, FMLA, CO-FAMLI, disability benefits) with a focus on employee care and compliance
Streamline HR operations through process improvement initiatives and technology optimization
Open and continuously improve core HR processes including onboarding, performance reviews and offboarding
Use data and feedback to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Own HR reporting and analytics to support data-driven decision-making
Act as liaison with external benefits providers; manage benefits administration and employee communications
Support compensation reviews and benchmarking with Total Rewards teams
Lead open enrollment initiatives, including educational sessions and personalized support
Analyze benefits utilization data to recommend program enhancements that balance employee satisfaction and costs
Coordinate with benefits vendors to resolve issues and ensure optimal service delivery
Strategic Partnership Collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business goals
Participate in organizational design, talent planning and leadership development initiatives
Drive change management during integrations and restructuring
Promote a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous learning
Culture & Engagement Contribute to programs that foster employee engagement and cultural alignment
Act as a culture champion, embedding values and behaviors across teams
Support DEI initiatives and ensure inclusive practices in HR processes
Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews and employee focus groups to proactively address issues and improve retention
Employee Relations Influence & Trust Building Provide expert guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution and performance management
Partner with legal and compliance teams on sensitive matters and investigations
Build relationships across all levels and act as a trusted advisor
Influence leaders through data, insights and a deep understanding of business needs
Provide coaching on people management, team dynamics and organizational effectiveness
Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities with confidence
Compliance And Operations Ensure compliance with local labor laws (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, state FMLA, and other regulations)
Stay current on legislative changes and implement strategies
What We Expect Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred
5-10 years of relevant HR experience, ideally in financial or professional services and global, complex environments
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities
Independent and collaborative problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially SharePoint and Excel
Extensive experience with HR systems, preferably SuccessFactors and ADP Workforce Now
Proven ability to derive insights from HR data to support strategic decisions
Experience developing and implementing HR policies and programs that enhance employee experience
