HR Generalist - Ruger Firearms The HR Generalist will support human resources functions within a dynamic manufacturing environment, focusing on talent development, lean manufacturing principles, and EH&S training to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for associate growth and fosters a culture of continuous learning, shared best practices, and collaborative problem solving. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new Associates. Assist with Internship Program, including attending job fairs. Conduct comprehensive new hire orientations, ensuring a smooth transition into the company culture and initial understanding of policies and procedures. Learning & Development Collaborate with leaders and associates to design, implement, and manage a robust learning and development framework. Identify critical skills gaps and develop targeted training programs, including on-the-job training initiatives, to enhance manufacturing capabilities and leadership potential. Champion a culture of continuous learning, emphasizing lessons learned from experiences and promoting the sharing of best practices across the organization. Work to develop the next generation of leaders and manufacturing skills through structured development plans and mentorship opportunities. Employee Relations Provide guidance and support to associates and leaders on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters. Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and grievances, promoting a positive and productive work environment. Conduct investigations as needed, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies. Performance Management Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and corrective action plans. Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on effective performance management techniques. Compensation & Benefits Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including benefits enrollment, health fairs, and leave management. HR Information System Management & Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and data within the HR information system. Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and identify trends. EH&S Support Assist in ensuring timely and effective EH&S training occurs for all new hires. Coordinate and track recurring EH&S training for all associates to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Collaborate with EH&S team to promote a safety-first culture and ensure a healthy and secure work environment. Lean Manufacturing Integration Actively promote and integrate lean manufacturing principles into HR practices, focusing on eliminating waste and optimizing processes. Facilitate discussions and initiatives that encourage associates to identify and implement process improvements. Preferred Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience in learning and development, including program design and facilitation. Familiarity with HRIS systems and data management. Basic understanding of EH&S principles and regulations. Additional Requirements Must be 18+ years of age, able to pass a drug screen and background check. Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Workday HCM. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
