Overview

Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) provides 14 programs and services across 28 locations in Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana, working to give children permanent homes and adults greater self-sufficiency. The agency follows “The PCHAS Way”—strength-focused, family-centered, and goal-driven with every client.
Responsibilities
Answer phones and emails for the HR department and respond to general HR-related questions.
Perform HRIS data entry and maintain confidential personnel files.
Conduct Stay Interviews monthly and Exit Interviews.
Send out Birthday Cards and Service Awards monthly.
Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Assist the HR leadership with HR projects and coordinate with other departments in a timely manner.
Assist with the performance management system by maintaining the database and ensuring timely evaluations.
Assist the Recruitment Coordinator with recruitment by screening resumes, conducting telephone interviews, and coordinating with supervisors for assigned roles.
Run monthly reports and provide requested reports as needed.
Process employee recurring reimbursements in the HRIS system.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred.
Experience: 2 to 4 years of prior experience and general knowledge of the human resources function preferred.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interact with all staff with tact and diplomacy; good organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines; able to work under pressure; basic knowledge of HR processes; proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software.
Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a risk-free driving record; willingness to undergo screenings for child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and childcare/elder care per Missouri requirements; willingness to submit fingerprints; pre-employment drug screen and physical; American Red Cross first aid and CPR certification at all times.
