Potential Compensation: $135,000 to $200,000
About the Role
This role goes far beyond traditional accounting management. You’ll be the financial architect behind high-end residential development projects, working closely with executive leadership to manage cashflow, oversee financial reporting, and guide investment decisions. You’ll also play a key role in shaping internal systems and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading forecasting and budgeting on projects and the financial health of the business.
- Oversee all general accounting functions: AP, AR, invoice coding, reconciliations, and reporting, leading a staff of 2.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and software.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and business processes.
- Collaborate with leadership on cashflow management, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Coordinate client billing, change orders, and ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Produce and maintain BOEs, Proformas, and other financial projection documents.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Support payroll and tax reporting functions.
- Manage audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
Ideal Candidate
- 8-10 years of experience. Background in real estate development or similar
- Strong understanding of construction project accounting and financial modeling.
- Experience with accounting software and systems implementation.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- CPA or equivalent credential preferred.
