Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Operations, the position will be responsible for accounting services for the Center.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, journal entries, process W-9’s, procurement card transactions, and maintain various reports and spreadsheets in accordance with Center procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
- Create/update distribution tables for required staff and assist with payroll and reporting as backup when needed.
- May learn other processes as needed as a backup.

Education, Training, And Experience
Graduation from standard high school or equivalent. Prefer: college-level accounting courses or two years accounts payable related experience. Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive Center vehicles. Must pass and maintain all Center mandate trainings and all trainings required for certification.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form; understand complex written and oral instructions.
- Must possess critical thinking skills and the ability to correctly apply generally accepted accounting principles, complex agency regulations, and procedures while maintaining complete Center confidentiality.
- Must demonstrate initiative by actively pursuing efficiencies and possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to utilize a personal computer. Competence on Excel in a Windows environment, 10-key by touch, and other office machines as necessary to adequately perform the duties of this position.
- Must be able to organize data.
