BWX Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor Southern Sites, for its Erwin, TN location!

Responsibilities

• Supervise the accounting team across three locations (NOG-L, NFS, NOG-J), providing guidance and daily support.
• Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses to inform site-level financial performance.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements within accounting processes.
• Evaluate accounting processes and systems, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits to resolve discrepancies.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
• Provide training and development opportunities for the accounting team to promote growth and skills.
• Analyze budget variances and assist in budget preparation and forecasting as needed.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders.

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and other regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel to different company sites and external conferences or training sessions.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with multi-site accounting operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and their implementation.
• Experience in SAP and OneStream a plus.
• Proven track record of process improvement initiatives in an accounting environment.

Pay: $76,000 - $116,000

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,000 and $116,000 per year. The base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors. The total compensation package may include additional elements such as an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits. Details will be provided with an offer of employment. The position is at-will unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
