Your Mission

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic and profitable organization. In this pivotal role, you will support our Treasury and Accounting close process, while also assisting with vital Accounts Receivable functions to protect our revenue stream and enhance customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable Oversight: Investigate and help resolve customer billing disputes and discrepancies. Monitor and process bounced checks and follow up on collection or reissue. Track customer deposits and ensure proper application to accounts and orders. Collaborate with the Customer Service and Sales teams to ensure a smooth resolution process that maintains client satisfaction.
  • Treasury: Assist with daily reconciliations, reporting, and postings related to various bank accounts under Manager supervision.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the Accounting Close: Perform the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist VP Finance to produce U.S. GAAP financial statements.
  • Ad-Hoc: Ad hoc analysis, reporting, and support within Finance and other divisions.
  • Cross-Training and Team Support: Cross-train with other Finance team members and provide assistance as needed to ensure a well-rounded and adaptable team.

Schedule

9am–6pm or 8:30am–5:30pm (your choice)

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Accounting Principles: Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
  • Customer Interaction: Experience in resolving billing disputes and handling sensitive financial issues with professionalism.
  • Prioritization: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Tech-savvy and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify financial issues and provide actionable solutions.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across departments.
