The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online Accounting tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 online accounting tutoring sessions using the Live Learning Platform.
- Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
- Provide personalized instruction, adapt to different learning styles, and explain accounting concepts clearly.
- Be matched with students whose needs align with your teaching style and expertise.
- Improve efficiency with AI-powered tools that assist with instruction, lesson generation, and student engagement.
- Manage tutoring logistics (invoicing and payments handled by Varsity Tutors).
What We Look For In a Tutor
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Expertise in Accounting and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
- Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base contract rates start at $18/hour and rise for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour for long-term sessions with the same student.
- Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you complete.
- Remote work—tutor from anywhere with internet access and the platform’s tools.
- We handle logistics and payments; you invoice for your tutoring sessions.
