Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online Accounting tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Pay

Base pay range: $18.00/hr – $40.00/hr. Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects. You’ll earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student—reaching up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.

Responsibilities

• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• Support students with one-on-one online tutoring, or accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
• Handle invoicing and payments through the platform (logistics managed by Varsity Tutors).

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Accounting with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
