Overview Job Title: Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst Job Number: R0227843 Leverage your research and analysis talents to advise and inform operators and senior leadership on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) support in various cybersecurity areas to include Department of Defense (DoD) Vulnerability Management and Information System Security, compliance, and risk management. Promote the vulnerability management process efforts through various cyber risk assessments, including vulnerability scan analysis and reporting, technical configuration reviews, policy analysis, and project evaluations. Apply expertise in technology to analyze system cybersecurity weaknesses to provide remediation and mitigation recommendations to decision makers, system engineers, and integrated project teams. Support the research of emerging technology, requisite security requirements, emerging threats, and zero-day weaknesses. Support Headquarters-level decision makers on the technical implementation of solutions for promoting cybersecurity across multiple technology areas. Collaboratively work with other team members and stakeholders while still being able to independently deliver reports and recommendations that align with team and information system owner objectives. Responsibilities Advise operators and senior leadership on adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures. Provide SME support for DoD Vulnerability Management and Information System Security, compliance, and risk management. Promote vulnerability management through cyber risk assessments, vulnerability scan analysis and reporting, technical configuration reviews, policy analysis, and project evaluations. Analyze system cybersecurity weaknesses and provide remediation and mitigation recommendations to decision makers, system engineers, and project teams. Research emerging technology, security requirements, threats, and zero-day weaknesses. Support technical implementation of cybersecurity solutions for multiple technology areas at Headquarters level. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders and independently deliver reports and recommendations aligned with objectives. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or computer field, including supporting information assurance, networking, or systems administration 5+ years of experience with Risk Management or Vulnerability Management Experience auditing and applying system security configurations to meet compliance standards Experience working in a DoD environment or enclave Experience using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and the implementation of industry best practices Secret clearance Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of professional work experience, or 5+ years of professional work experience in lieu of a degree DoD 8570 IAM Level I or IAT Level II Certification Additional Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) or the Tenable Security Center and Tenable Nessus vulnerability scanning suite Experience using Power Query, Power BI, and PowerShell Experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxy, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools Experience with Cloud and DevSecOps Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management and analytical skills TS/SCI clearance Master's degree DoD 8570 IAM Level II or IAT Level III Certification Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required. Our compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
