JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Business Application Manager, the Application Analyst provides consultation and assistance to users of applications, including analyzing user requirements, designing and developing reports and presentations, troubleshooting and resolving issues, training users, and writing user documentation. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to analyze and translate user requirements into specifications and prepare detailed design/implementation documentation. Strong analytical reasoning and logical problem-solving skills. Experience in application design, build, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. Ability to advocate for appropriate technology solutions and to continually enhance the organizations capabilities. (Preferred) Knowledge and experience in architecture, including on-premises and Cloud business applications. Knowledge of Workday and/or Kronos UKG systems. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install and configure applications. Maintain, monitor, and patch existing applications. Manage system/user permissions, ensure security, and improve enterprise threat posture. Maintain, monitor, and audit application configurations, backups, and jobs. Upgrade and migrate legacy applications. Perform capacity planning, setup, performance tuning, and monitoring. Participate in purchasing decisions, testing, presales due diligence, and technical reviews. Detect and troubleshoot application slowness and resource contention. Ensure continuous uptime and participate in rotating on-call duties. Assist with automation and workflows. Understand application schema and assist with queries, reports, and ETLs.
