Our Cybersecurity Team is seeking a highly skilled

Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

to maintain and enhance the security posture of the

National Military Command Center (NMCC)

environment. This role is critical for the health and performance of our security infrastructure, requiring expertise in system administration, security tool management, and system hardening. A deep understanding of operating systems, security tools, and server infrastructure is essential. Security Tool Infrastructure Management : Manage backend infrastructure, deployment, patching, tuning, and health of security tools like Tenable Nessus, Trellix ePO (HBSS/ESS), on Windows and Red Hat Linux servers. Develop SOPs for security tool administration. Vulnerability Management & System Hardening : Conduct security assessments, implement STIGs, and develop security designs for systems to address cybersecurity requirements. Remediation & Continuous Monitoring : Mitigate vulnerabilities and recommend network or system changes. Security Architecture & Integration : Build IA into deployed systems, validate security requirements, and support security planning and risk management. Security Tool Troubleshooting & Support : Provide Tier 3 support for tools like ACAS and HBSS/ESS. RMF Support & Documentation : Support documentation of security controls and artifacts for RMF and ICD 503 Security Accreditation. Qualifications

Active Top Secret-SCI clearance Security+ certification 5+ years experience with security tools (Tenable Nessus, Trellix ePO, etc.) in production Proven ability to implement and validate STIGs on Windows and RHEL Deep understanding of Windows and Linux OS, networking, and security best practices Experience in systems engineering, design, and architecture Ability to identify security risks across systems and protocols Strong communication, organizational, and independent working skills Preferred Skills : Experience running Evaluate-STIG scans, obtaining licenses for HBSS ePO and Tenable, and understanding of security principles and risk assessment.
