Position Overview The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia services to patients of Singing River Health System under the supervision of a licensed physician and nursing service protocol. Responsibilities include administering and monitoring anesthesia before, during, and after procedures. The CRNA follows established policies, procedures, and recommends changes to the System Chief CRNA.

Qualifications
Education:
Graduate from an accredited anesthesia educational program recognized by the AANA or its predecessor. Must be insurable by a malpractice insurer for required limits.
License:
Current RN/APRN license in Mississippi and compliance with state regulations.
Certification:
BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be current.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of anesthesia practice preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands Requires physical activities such as standing, bending, lifting, and walking. Must be able to communicate effectively, perceive sounds and visuals adequately, and work under high stress. Ability to function under emergency conditions and demonstrate sound clinical judgment are essential.
Additional Requirements Must coordinate patient needs tactfully, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism. Full-time CRNAs are on a 24-hour call rotation, including weekends. Must be capable of providing care to patients of all ages.
