Director, Corporate Design Projects

SMART IT People has an exciting Director level role with our client in the commercial furniture industry. Lead a team of 5 to 6 direct reports that manage large corporate account relationships, design, project management, order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction. Required skills: Four-year degree in Interior Design or related major from a FIDER-accredited university 3-5 years of proven, progressive leadership and management skills. 8+ years of combined experience in design, project management within the commercial furniture industry. Sales experience preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are crucial for creating and implementing the annual business plan and aligning it with sales forecasts. Proficient use of project management software and customer relationship management tools will enhance your ability to manage day-to-day operations efficiently. Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team will be vital in achieving high levels of satisfaction for both customers and team members alike. Overseeing division sales, order fulfillment, financial results, team members and customer satisfaction. Create and implement the division's annual business plan, ensuring alignment with overall company goals. Your leadership will foster a positive work environment, promoting team member growth and development while maximizing team member satisfaction. Manage and supervise Project Coordinators, Customer Account Managers, and work with Salespeople daily, providing the necessary procedural guidance to ensure smooth operations. Maintain constructive relationships with supporting departments, driving collaboration and effective communication to support the successful execution of the business plan. Collaborate closely with commercial interior designers to develop customer-specific account plans that ensure our projects meet client expectations and align with our sales forecast.
