Overview Our client are we specializing in designing and manufacturing advanced Autonomous Vehicles that push the boundaries of defense technology. The Autonomous Vehicles integrate complex electro-mechanical systems, high-precision sensors, and cutting-edge software to operate in challenging environments. Responsibilities The Production Manager will be responsible for scaling, planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing activities to meet production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be managing a team of production supervisors and technician staff in the production and delivery of products through acceptance testing and delivery. Qualifications 8+ years of experience managing or supervising in a high volume production environment Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of production rate, critical path analysis, and key manufacturing fundamentals A full understanding of the product life cycle (NPI to scaled production), LEAN manufacturing principals, and change management Can interpret technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, building plans, equipment specs, electrical schematics, etc.) Willing to work on hardware hands on as needed by production Experience being hands-on and prefer to be on the production floor and have proven skills in both process and equipment troubleshooting, allowing you to easily adapt to constantly changing production environments Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing or 6-Sigma principles Experience preferred Experience with AUVs, ROVs, or other marine robotic systems. Knowledge of fiber optics, sonar systems, acoustic sensors, or marine navigation systems. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and MES platforms for tracking work orders and materials. Previous involvement in NPI programs with exposure to lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
