Automation & Power Manager Direct Hire; up to 170K Houston or Midland
Duties: Lead efforts and grow a team to current business needs and strategize for future growth Manage a team of electrical engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimizing the performance of electrical infrastructure Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems and power distribution networks Lead and provide multidisciplinary support, project coordination, and general expertise regarding instrumentation, PLCs, and SCADA Contribute to team leadership, documentation and reporting, safety and compliance, project management, electrical system management, budgeting and control, and automation and technical expertise
Qualifications: Master’s in Electrical Engineering PREFERRED; Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related REQUIRED 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or power management, working with Instrumentation and Controls 3+ years of supervisory experience leading teams of programmers and operators and managing large-scale electrical projects Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification a plus Proficient in Allen Bradley RSLogix-5000 a plus Knowledge and application of Modbus, Profibus, etc. I&E certification or comparable experience a plus Proficiency in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP) Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE) Worked as a programmer in SCADA and DCS Systems Worked as a systems integrator using Ignition, Wonderware, Simatic, iFIX and or Intellution Participated in PHAs, HAZOPs and PSSRs Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems Proficiency in using electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP) Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE) Worked as a programmer in SCADA and DCS Systems Worked as a systems integrator using Ignition, Wonderware, Simatic, iFIX and or Intellution Participated in PHAs, HAZOPs and PSSRs
