Job Description
Overview : We are seeking an AWS Redshift Administrator/Engineer. Job Responsibilities: Administer and maintain scalable cloud environments and applications for data organization. Understand business objectives and create cloud-based solutions to facilitate those objectives. Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitLab. Install and maintain software, services, and applications by identifying system requirements. Hands-on experience with AWS Services, databases, and troubleshooting. Extensive database experience with RDS, AWS Redshift, MySQL. Maintain environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring performance. Knowledge of database operations, deployments, and development. Experience with Snowflake. Knowledge of SQL and performance tuning. Proficiency in Linux Shell Scripting or Python. Migration of systems between AWS accounts. System troubleshooting and performance monitoring. Secure web systems through access control, monitoring, and evaluation. Test disaster recovery policies, perform backups, and maintain documentation. Upgrade systems and develop new software enhancements. Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders to meet project needs. Requirements
Minimum Skills: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering. At least 7 years of experience in system, platform, and AWS cloud administration. 5-7 years of database administration and AWS experience with latest AWS technologies (EC2, Redshift, VPC, S3, RDS). Experience with Java, Python, Redshift, MySQL, or similar databases. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA. Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS platforms. Experience with scripting environments such as KSH shell, PowerShell. Knowledge of version control and CI/CD pipelines. Deep understanding of TCP/IP, security architecture, and system hardening. Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases and query optimization. Experience supporting and optimizing data pipelines. Knowledge of the Incident Response lifecycle.
