Castleton Commodities International (www.cci.com) is looking to hire a detail-oriented and motivated FP&A Analyst to join the Controller’s team in the Stamford, CT office. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to key financial processes and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced energy commodities trading environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of financial principles, and an eagerness to learn and grow within the organization. Responsibilities: Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to help drive data-informed business decisions. Conduct variance analysis and develop insights into financial performance across different business segments. Build and maintain financial models to assess business performance, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives. Partner with cross-functional teams including Trading, Risk, and Operations to gather data, support financial planning efforts, and analyze business drivers. Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders. Assist in the development of presentation materials for senior leadership. Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data and assist in maintaining data integrity across systems. Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes and propose improvements to improve the use of key metrics. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably in the energy, commodities, or financial services sector. Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial modeling and analytical tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Experience working with ERP systems; SAP and S/4HANA preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Effective communicator with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
