Network and Security Sr Manager

is responsible for overseeing and maintaining an organization's network and firewall infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and efficiency. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, strategic planning, and team leadership. Minimum experience required for this role is 15-17 years with good corporate level industry experience. This role is a hands-on technical role. Core Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation : Plan, design, and implement network systems, including LANs, WANs, and VPNs, tailored to the organization's needs. Firewall Configuration and Management : Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of firewall systems, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security. Performance Monitoring : Regularly monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system functionality. Security Management : Develop and enforce network security policies, manage firewalls, and implement measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats. Troubleshooting & Support : Diagnose and resolve network-related problems promptly, providing technical support to users as needed. Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of network and Firewall configurations, procedures, and incidents; prepare regular reports on network status and performance. Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of network and security engineers and technicians, providing guidance and fostering professional development. Vendor & Budget Management : Oversee relationships with vendors for network, security products and services; manage the network budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions. Cloud Platforms : Knowledge of cloud service providers like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, along with their networking services. Hardware : Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet. Wi-Fi Knowledge : Having a expertise level hands on experience in the field of wireless designing, engineering and deployment. Qualifications & Skills Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or with relevant years of experience. Certifications : Certifications such as CCNA Network, Security, CCNP are preferred. Technical Skills : Proficiency in networking technologies and protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, DNS, FTP), experience with network security measures, and familiarity with network management tools. Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. The base salary range for this role is $133,200 to $199,800. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance. #LI-BS1 This job description describes the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position.
