deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Principal Systems Engineer in Huntsville, Al.
Position Description:
deciBel Research seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The successful candidate will be performing System Reliability & Maintainability (RAM&T) Engineering Analysis.
The candidate will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem RAM&T performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure that RAM&T program requirements are achieved. The primary responsibility of the position will be reliability, maintainability, and testability. The selected candidate will Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the RAM&T of assigned subsystem.
The individual will support the Product teams in the investigation of RAM&T issues and develop mitigation plans. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.
Due to the nature of the role, this is not being offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field
Experience Requirements:
5+ years with Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with Master's degree, 1+ years with PhD
Experience in Reliability and Maintainability discipline
Special Skills Desired:
Minimum 5 Years Experience of experience within Reliability and Maintainability discipline.
Ability to Perform RAM&T allocations and predictions
Ability to Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis
Ability Perform Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis
Ability to Develop mission reliability analysis
Ability to support the development teams in the investigation of issues
Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
Experience with and Ability to perform Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
Experience with maintainability demonstrations
Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Excellent team collaboration and communication skills (written and oral).
