Remote (PST preferred) Hiring Manager Note: Candidates have often lacked recent experience with NX tools, especially hands-on NXOpen development. We are specifically looking for someone with up-to-date, practical experience in this area.
Overview We are seeking a Systems Administrator IV with deep experience in Teamcenter-NX integration, NXOpen development, and Teamcenter ITK customizations. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with current NX versions and able to develop and maintain custom NX tools, scripts, and workflows. This role supports advanced configuration and customization of Teamcenter and NX, focusing on improving the CAD/PLM integration experience and internal engineering productivity.
Responsibilities Manage Teamcenter-NX integrations, including NX Manager, NX attribute mapping, site file configurations, and drawing template updates Develop and maintain NXOpen-based tools using VB.Net and C#, including tools for drawing title blocks, part list tables, and NX Checkmate automation Customize NX menus, ribbons, and templates, and develop scripting for site-level configuration Build and maintain UI tools using Block Styler and WinForms Implement Teamcenter ITK customizations, including PDM server calls, workflow handlers, extensions, and stylesheet configurations Conduct unit testing, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Create training materials, user manuals, and documentation for frequently asked issues Troubleshoot and resolve user issues with Teamcenter and NX configurations Maintain and collaborate using source control systems such as GitHub or Mercurial
Top Must-Have Skills 68+ years of experience in Teamcenter and NX configuration and customization Recent hands-on experience with NXOpen development using VB.Net, C#, and Visual Studio Strong knowledge of Teamcenter ITK customizations, including PDM server calls and managed mode/native NX customizations Experience with NX UI customization (menus, ribbons, templates) Proficiency in developing UI tools using Block Styler and WinForms Strong documentation and training skills (test plans, manuals, FAQs)
Nice-to-Have Skills Familiarity with source control tools like GitHub, Mercurial, etc. Broader understanding of PLM best practices and data lifecycle management Exposure to Teamcenter workflows, stylesheet configuration, and extension development Experience supporting large, distributed engineering teams
Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field Masters degree preferred but not required
