Senior Cloud Developer – API & Microservices (AWS)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Developer with a strong background in API and microservices development using AWS cloud technologies. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native applications and APIs, leveraging a range of AWS services and modern serverless architecture. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of backend development experience with a strong command of AWS services, RESTful and GraphQL API design, and CI/CD automation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performing, secure, and reliable cloud applications. Key Responsibilities · Design and implement scalable and secure APIs and microservices using AWS technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, and DynamoDB · Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support web, mobile, and third-party integrations · Build and deploy serverless applications using AWS best practices · Write clean, reusable, and efficient code in Node.js, Python, or Java · Ensure application scalability, performance tuning, and cost optimization · Collaborate in architecture design discussions and conduct peer code reviews · Integrate APIs with both internal systems and external services · Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions · Work in close coordination with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to meet project goals Required Qualifications · 5–7 years of experience in backend development and API design · Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, CloudWatch · Strong programming experience with Node.js, Python, or Java · Solid experience in designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs · Understanding of serverless architecture and event-driven systems · Knowledge of API security protocols and standards including OAuth2 and JWT · Familiarity with source control (Git) and CI/CD workflows · Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset Preferred Qualifications · AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate or higher) · Experience with GraphQL federation or asynchronous messaging services (SNS, SQS) · Exposure to containerized environments using Docker, AWS Fargate, or EKS · Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK · Experience working within Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
