Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation Analyst

to join our team in

Washington, D.C.

This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week onsite. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide operational Test and Evaluation (T&E) expertise on activities supporting systems for cyber security & cyber resilience, including requirements review, test planning, execution, data management, and reporting, with a focus on assessing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems and data against cyber threats. Perform technical analysis on a multi-disciplinary team, advising and overseeing government test and evaluation efforts, focusing on cyber systems, industrial control systems (ICS), operational technology (OT) security, cyber tabletop exercises, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and adversarial assessments. Analyze and contribute to Test and Evaluation Master Plans, emphasizing cyber resilience, security controls validation (e.g., NIST SP 800-53), and cybersecurity regulation compliance. Collaborate with government clients to monitor program milestones, key events, and accomplishments, and coordinate information across organizations to identify and mitigate cyber risks throughout the system lifecycle. Review and provide feedback on acquisition documents such as the Mission Needs Statement, Operational Requirements Documents, Concept of Operations, and Test and Evaluation Master Plan, specifically regarding cybersecurity requirements, threat modeling, and testing strategies. Minimum Qualifications: Understanding of the end-to-end System Development Life Cycle. Over 15 years of T&E experience or 10 years with an advanced degree, with significant cybersecurity testing experience on complex IT, OT, and cloud systems. Ability to teach T&E topics, especially in cybersecurity testing methodologies and best practices. Technical writing skills for documenting test plans, reports, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation strategies. Initiative, judgment, decision-making, organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. Experience supporting senior government leaders and technical professionals. Preferred Qualifications: Defense Acquisition University (DAU) or DHS Level II T&E Certification / Equivalency. Experience with Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Knowledge of DHS operations, policies, and systems engineering lifecycle. Technical writing expertise. Clearance Requirements: Must be a US citizen able to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust clearance. Physical Requirements: Ability to remain stationary for over 50% of the time. Proficiency with computers and office machinery. Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues, management, and clients, including delivering presentations.
