Full-Time Job Summary: The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and managing a team of accountants. This role plays a key part in the month-end and year-end close processes, audit preparation, and ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of accounting professionals (e.g., Staff Accountants, Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialists). Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Review and analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, HR) to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in maintaining SOX compliance. Coordinate internal and external audit requests, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department. Stay current with evolving accounting regulations and best practices. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA certification required. Experience: 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is strongly preferred; experience with MS Business Central (BC) is a plus. Public accounting experience is a plus. Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong leadership and team development abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working Conditions: Office environment, standard working hours. Occasionally extended hours will be necessary during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end close, audits).
