Job Summary Data Center Analyst role at Jobs via Dice. Randstad Digital is looking for a Data Center Analyst in New Albany, OH. Independently accountable for identifying and responding to onsite risks and high-priority issues rapidly and effectively, troubleshooting incidents, shift turnover, incident queues, media processing, and escorting vendors. Location Riverwoods, Illinois Job Type Solutions Salary $36 - $38 per hour Work Hours 8am to 5pm Education Bachelor's Responsibilities 40% Working with the Product Owner, Service Owner and Subject Matter Experts to validate the context of requirements and execute individual user stories related to onsite data center systems, including critical system installs, data room moves, decommissions, reconfigurations, and onsite data center/data room power down events. 20% Independently executes a variety of user stories with different contexts. Contributes opinions to design decisions and understands design trade-offs related to OSI Model Layer 1 infrastructure, system automation via CI/CD pipelines and APIs, capacity planning, and inventory planning. 20% Identifies basic building blocks and components of data centers and OSI Model Layer 1 infrastructure. Assesses how changes to data center infrastructure affect software/hardware functionality and onsite services. 10% Defines and evaluates team documentation for process improvement. 5% Contributes to team agile ceremonies, leads demos and presentations, helps new engineers learn team norms, and participates in technology communities. 5% 1-3+ years' experience deploying and maintaining complex data center environments, understanding of indoor/outdoor cable plants, copper and fiber cabling, IT infrastructure components (LAN/WAN/SAN, firewalls, servers, storage, wireless, DAS), and relevant standards (EIA/TIA, IEEE, NEC, ISO). Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors; strong documentation skills; strong verbal and written communication. Qualifications 3-5+ years' experience designing, deploying and maintaining complex data center environments (new facility, major facility renovations/expansions). Bachelor's degree in CS/CIS/Network/Telecommunications or related field or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of IT infrastructure components (LAN/WAN/SAN, firewalls, Wintel/Lintel/UNIX servers, storage, DAS, wireless). Knowledge of EIA/TIA, IEEE, NEC, ISO standards related to data centers and structured cabling. Understanding of indoor/outdoor cable plants (copper and fiber) and related deployment standards.
