Lifetime Assistance, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and energetic Employment Specialist to support individuals with developmental disabilities in gaining meaningful employment and developing real-world job skills.
In this role, you'll provide direct job coaching and vocational training in a variety of community-based settings. You'll also help individuals build strong work habits, improve social and communication skills, and prepare for long-term employment success. This position involves meaningful connections with employers and the opportunity to truly change lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide job skills training and supervision in community and facility-based work settings
Help individuals develop positive work habits, social skills, and independence
Build and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities
Assist with setting up job sites, vocational assessments, and training materials
Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and program outcomes
Serve as a positive role model, encouraging personal and professional growth
Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and reviews to support individual goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; OR
Associate's degree and 1 year of relevant experience; OR
High school diploma and 2 years of related vocational or human services experience
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively support individuals in various work environments
Valid NYS driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements
