What This Job Involves The AMER Workplace & Events Manager designs and delivers exceptional event experiences across Stripe's Americas portfolio that reinforce company culture and support business objectives. This role leads the planning, execution, and evaluation of a diverse range of corporate events while managing vendor relationships, controlling budgets, and ensuring seamless experiences that reflect Stripe's innovative brand and values.
Your day-to-day tasks will include
Oversee the planning and execution of all events across Stripe's Americas locations, with primary focus on the Oyster Point headquarters
Develop creative event concepts that align with Stripe's culture, brand identity, and business objectives
Manage multiple event projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance
Lead venue selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management for all events
Collaborate with Stripe stakeholders to understand event objectives and develop appropriate solutions
Create and manage detailed event timelines, run-of-show documents, and production schedules
Coordinate technical requirements including audiovisual setup, lighting, and digital integration
Oversee event staff and day-of execution to ensure flawless delivery
Develop and monitor event budgets, tracking expenses and reconciling costs post-event
Implement post-event evaluation processes to measure success and identify improvements
Maintain comprehensive documentation of event processes, preferred vendors, and best practices
Stay current on industry trends and innovative event concepts to continually enhance offerings
Working Environment This position is based at Stripe's Oyster Point headquarters with responsibility for events across the Americas region. The role requires regular travel (approximately 30%) to other Stripe locations to oversee major events. The Events Manager works in a dynamic, creative environment that values innovation and excellence, occasionally requiring evening or weekend work during event execution.
Required
5+ years of progressive experience in corporate event planning and management
Demonstrated success managing complex events for high-profile clients or organizations
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
Experience with event budgeting and financial management
Excellent project management abilities with attention to detail
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with event management software and MS Office applications
Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends
Other duties as assigned
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or related field
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or other relevant industry certification
Experience in the technology industry or similar fast-paced corporate environments
Knowledge of sustainability practices in event management
Experience with virtual and hybrid event productionUnderstanding of international events and cultural considerations
Background in experiential marketing or brand activation
G-Suite proficiency
