We are thrilled to launch our annual Summer Internship Program, specifically for college students who live in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area either during the school year or over the summer. Position Description We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our team for a 12-week internship program. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in your chosen department, work on meaningful projects, and develop valuable professional skills. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, attend training sessions, and participate in networking events designed to enhance your career development. As a UI/UX design Intern, you will contribute to real projects from day one — supporting user research efforts, synthesizing design requirements, contributing to wireframes and visual design work, and maintaining design documentation. This role offers a front-row seat to how design decisions are made, iterated, and implemented in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment. You’ll gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration, with the opportunity to grow your design skills while contributing to the design of products that engage millions of soccer fans. Preferred QualificationsExperience with design tools such as Figma for creating digital experiences on web and mobileKnowledge of design thinking or user experience researchHands-on experience building digital products is preferred Advancement As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, U.S. Soccer Federation raises funds to support the 26 National Teams, hundreds of thousands of coaches and referees, and millions of players across the entire ecosystem. The Advancement Department plays a pivotal role in generating revenue to support the Federation. This internship will offer valuable fundraising and business operating experience in a fast-paced sports organization. The candidate will be a key contributor on a team 100% focused on the philanthropy of U.S. Soccer, including but not limited to: help support day-to-day revenue generating activities, learn best philanthropic practices, develop relationship building and communication skills, and drive special projects and events. This cross-functional role will gain hands-on experience in applied sport science and performance research by contributing to the implementation, evaluation, and refinement of the Recovery Lab and other key initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting camp-based activities, assisting with data collection and compliance monitoring, contributing to educational resources, and helping develop written research deliverables. Preferred QualificationsStudying Exercise Science, Physiology, Biomechanics, Sports Nutrition, or related fieldsInterest in research, applied sport science, or high-performance sport, ideally within soccerProficiency in data analysis and coding (e.g., R or Python) is a plusExperience with research, athlete monitoring, or recovery strategies is beneficialBackground in soccer (player, coach, referee, etc.) is preferredStrong written communication skills Accounting This internship offers valuable hands-on accounting experience at U.S. Soccer. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment alongside the accounting team to contribute to efficient financial operations. Responsibilities will include various accounting tasks, such as involvement in month-end close, data entry and analysis in our AP system, and special projects that improve financial reporting and accounting processes. This investment fuels all of U.S. Soccer’s critical initiatives and is essential for growing the game at all levels. We are looking for a driven, team player to join our department and contribute to critical strategic initiatives including research, partner prospecting, stakeholder engagement and much more! This role offers a hands-on experience working in a dynamic, revenue generating team during a monumental stretch of growth for the sport. In addition to this key project, you will collaborate closely with our entire Operations Team on strategic projects (e.g., international benchmark analysis, SheChampions delivery), and end to end course delivery (e.g., pre course, in person course, and post course operations). You will also partner closely with our Platforms Lead to integrate CE into the Learning Center and get full visibility into the day-to-day responsibilities of our Technical Coaching Team. This team is at the forefront of shaping how fans engage with U.S. Soccer through innovative product strategies, retail experiences, and cultural collaborations—especially as we prepare for global events like the 2026 & 2027 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Olympics. You’ll work closely with leaders across the division to support high-impact projects, including our partnership with Nike to support our Teams on the road to and during the next World Cups: 2026 & 2027. In Retail Development, you’ll dive into a competitive analysis of World Cup retail across sports specialty and mass market channels to help inform future strategies for 2027 and beyond. Within Licensing, you’ll contribute to early-stage planning for brand and designer collaborations, artist integrations, and Olympic co-branding efforts with the USOPC. In this fast-paced role, you’ll support projects for national teams, Federation functions, and the 2026 Men’s World Cup—gaining hands-on experience managing timelines, creative workflows, and cross-team collaboration on some of the biggest stages in sports.
