About the Role:

A leading

engineering consulting firm

is seeking an experienced

Senior Mechanical Engineer

with a strong background in

MEP design

for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in

HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems

and a deep understanding of industry codes, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead the

design, analysis, and specification

of

HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection

systems for various building projects. • Develop and

review mechanical engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications

to ensure compliance with industry standards and local codes. • Oversee project execution, including

coordination with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and contractors . • Conduct

energy modeling, system evaluations, and feasibility studies

to optimize mechanical system performance. • Provide technical leadership and

mentor junior engineers and designers

within the team. • Participate in

client meetings, site visits, and construction administration

to ensure project goals are met. • Stay current with

industry trends, ASHRAE standards, and state building codes . • Assist in

business development efforts , including proposal writing and client presentations.

Qualifications: •

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

or related field. •

Professional Engineer (PE) license

required. •

10+ years of experience

in mechanical engineering with a focus on

MEP building systems . • Proficiency in

HVAC load calculations, ductwork/piping design, and energy efficiency strategies . • Experience with

Revit, AutoCAD, and energy modeling software

(e.g., Trace 700, EnergyPlus). • Strong understanding of

building codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local regulations . • Excellent

problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills . • Ability to manage

multiple projects and deadlines

in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience: • Experience in

LEED-certified projects

or sustainability initiatives. • Knowledge of

mission-critical, healthcare, or laboratory environments . • Experience in

design-build and integrated project delivery (IPD) methodologies .
