Position TitleLead Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care McLean Job Description Purpose & Scope: A Nurse Practitioner (NP) employed by VHC Health Physicians ("Physician Group") is required to complete a NP Agreement with their Collaborating Physician(s). This NP Agreement will describe the NP’s role and function, NP/Physician Relationship, Functions of the NP, Privileges/Procedures, Prescriptive Authority, Documentation Responsibilities and Evaluation process.Overall, the NP will support objectives, budget, performance metrics and medical activities at an Individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.In addition to the roles and responsibilities of the Lead Nurse Practitioner (NP) roles and responsibilities the Lead NP will support objectives, budget and performance metrics at Practice Level.The Lead NP will work with the Lead Physician and Practice Manager to support medical activities within the Practice including implementation of quality control standards, risk management, compliance programs and clinical issues.

Education: Master's degree in nursing is required.

Experience: Two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Certification/Licensure: Licensed as Nurse Practitioner by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required.

Authorization to prescribe issued by the Virginia State Board of Health Professions required.
