RAYUS Radiology is looking for an X-Ray & Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a X-Ray & Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you are responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. This role provides scanning services within professional standards and consistently using a patient centered approach to provide excellent customer service. Patients come to our centers looking for answers. The X-Ray & CT Technologist will kindly and patiently guide patients through each step of the sometimes-difficult imaging process, while also answering their questions and addressing any concerns they may throughout the exam procedures.

This is a per-diem position working various hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (90%) Patient CT Imaging

Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure

Explain and prepare patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged

Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure

Adjust scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilize dose reduction techniques as appropriate

Follow physicians' orders precisely; conforms to safety regulations and accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS)

Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including the equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and team members

(5%) Scanning Department Support

Assists with maintaining and updated imaging protocol manual, and software upgrades

Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary

Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Other Duties as Assigned

Completes other tasks and projects assigned.

Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma, or equivalent

Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography

ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing

Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist certification

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform scanning procedures independently

Preferred:

Bilingual
