About the role Forter is hiring a Vice President (VP) of Market Strategy to lead Product Marketing, Public Relations & Communications, and Creative functions. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role shapes Forter’s market perception, defines expansion direction, and aligns the go‑to‑market organization with customer and prospect priorities.

The ideal candidate has walked in our customers' shoes, with direct experience in an enterprise apparel, accessories, beauty, or retail organization, and paired with expertise from a SaaS organization focused on identity management or fraud prevention.

What you’ll be doing

Own and evolve Forter’s narrative, positioning, messaging, and brand identity for enterprise buyers, analysts, and investors.

Drive long‑range market strategy, prioritizing short‑term and long‑term growth opportunities to solidify category leadership.

Translate high‑level opportunities into cross‑functional initiatives—product requirements, sales plays, demand‑generation briefs, PR campaigns, and analyst relations strategies.

Partner with Sales to ensure world‑class messaging and enablement materials.

Lead, mentor, and inspire teams across product marketing, communications, and creative.

Act as a key cross‑functional leader, bringing outside‑in thinking to inform product, engineering, and go‑to‑market decisions.

Execute hands‑on tasks, balancing strategy with research, writing, and production.

What you’ll need

15+ years of combined retail and B2B marketing experience.

Dual experience:

Merchant‑side experience at an enterprise‑level retailer.

SaaS experience at a high‑growth B2B SaaS company focused on identity management or fraud prevention.

Track record of measurable organic pipeline growth and improved sales velocity from market strategies.

Cross‑functional leadership, proven success partnering with Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Storytelling ability to craft differentiated narratives for C‑suite and VP‑level buyers.

Experience leading senior talent.

Strategic, analytical, data‑informed mindset.

Salary Range: $238,000 – $305,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits. Actual compensation may vary by location, experience, and market conditions.
