Overview
The Business Systems Analyst – SME at Amentum in Washington, DC supports mission‑critical projects that directly impact national security. Amentum uses Scrum, SAFE Agile, and DevOps practices to develop and operate high‑impact software for critical national security enterprise applications. Responsibilities
Lead collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization through concept development, and user story writing to support development and deployment. Facilitate gathering of business focused requirements to support product teams and product owners in defining the backlog and ensuring the user perspective is considered. Drive improved usability, user experience, and user adoption and engagement through requirements gathering and documentation. Document business rules, construct workflow diagrams, and provide consultation on complex projects while considering the business implications of technology decisions. Participate and lead Agile ceremonies, manage the product backlog, and prioritize user tickets with the technical team and leadership. Qualifications
Active Top Secret clearance. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 10 years of experience with 6 years of related technical specialized experience. Preferred Agile/Safe certifications, Cloud certifications, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) experience, SAFE Agile principles. Benefits & Pay
Base salary range:
$175K to $180K . Eligible employees and dependents may elect medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. 401(k) plan, deferred compensation plan, executive deferral plan, 17 days vacation per year, seven paid holidays, floating holidays, caregiver leave.
