Cirrus Aircraft is seeking an experienced Director of Avionics & Electrical Engineering to lead a team of 70+ engineers specializing in avionics, software, electrical systems, and Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS).
Base pay range $168,480.00/yr - $252,720.00/yr
This leader will oversee the design, development, integration, and installation of aircraft systems in compliance with FAA Part 23 regulations. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering, the Director provides strategic vision, technical oversight, and leadership across avionics, software, and electrical disciplines—driving innovation, quality, and regulatory adherence. The role includes managing organizational strategy, developing engineering standards, guiding certification efforts, and fostering collaboration across teams.
A bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, 12+ years of industry experience, and 8+ years in engineering leadership are required.
Relocation to Duluth, Minnesota is required, and a comprehensive relocation package is provided.
