Vice President, Clinical Development

About the Role Our client, an innovative biotech firm, is seeking a Vice President, Clinical Development - Immunology. This role offers the opportunity to shape and drive early-stage immunology clinical programs with direct impact on advancing novel therapies from pre-IND through Phase 2. The position is ideal for a physician-scientist with a proven track record in early clinical development who thrives in highly collaborative, cross-functional settings.
Key Responsibilities
Lead execution of Phase 1 and 2 clinical studies.
Collaborate with leadership to design and implement clinical development plans.
Provide medical oversight, including safety review, go / no-go decisions, and medical monitoring.
Engage investigators, CROs, and site staff with medical guidance and training.
Stay current on emerging immunology science and integrate findings into trial strategy.
Partner across internal and external stakeholders to ensure trial quality and compliance.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine Degree Required (MD) - MD / PHD Preferred
3+ years of industry clinical development experience focused on Immunology
Significant experience designing and executing early-stage phase trials (Phase I-II).
Strong immunology background and experience running immunology programs.
Skilled in regulatory requirements, clinical trial methodology, and protocol development.
Compensation $380,000 – $435,000 base salary plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
