The Director of Product Marketing will lead the development and execution of product positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation for Traliant’s product portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring our products are clearly differentiated in the market, resonate with target buyers, and enable our sales teams to win. The Director partners cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales Enablement, Rev Ops, Demand Generation, and Marketing Operations to ensure our value propositions are consistently and effectively communicated. This position is strategic, requiring a balance between market analytics, storytelling, and cross-functional leadership. In addition to leading product marketing initiatives, this role manages the Content Marketing Manager, ensuring the creation of high-quality, relevant content that supports each stage of the buyer journey and aligns with our GTM strategy.
Key Responsibilities Product Marketing Leadership
Own the product marketing strategy and oversee execution of GTM plans for new product launches, feature releases, and relaunches, ensuring alignment with revenue, adoption, and engagement targets.
Define and maintain product positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions based on in-depth understanding of buyer needs, compliance market trends, and competitive differentiation.
Lead win/loss analysis efforts to surface key drivers of deal outcomes and incorporate learnings into positioning and sales enablement programs.
Conduct ongoing market and competitive intelligence, buyer persona development, and voice-of-customer research to inform segmentation, targeting, and messaging decisions.
Content Marketing Oversight
Manage the Content Marketing Manager to ensure creation of compelling, high-impact content that supports awareness, consideration, and decision stages of the buyer journey.
Oversee development of product-related assets, including website copy, case studies, solution briefs, blog posts, videos, and webinar content.
Ensure all content is aligned to GTM messaging, optimized for target personas, and supports both inbound and outbound marketing strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Demand Generation to activate product positioning through targeted campaigns, digital programs, and event marketing.
Collaborate with Marketing Operations to measure product marketing impact, from MQL to closed-won.
Partner with the VP, GTM & Strategic Marketing to ensure product marketing priorities align with overarching GTM strategy and brand narrative.
Partner with Product Management to influence roadmap prioritization and ensure market readiness for launches.
Collaborate with Sales Enablement to ensure they have accurate product messaging, positioning, and assets — such as solution briefs, battlecards, objection-handling guides, and pitch decks — to incorporate into their sales training programs and tools.
Requirements Core Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, business or related field
7+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product marketing; experience in compliance, HR tech, or related industries preferred.
2+ years in a leadership position managing teams and developing direct reports
Proven success leading product positioning, messaging, and B2B GTM execution.
Strong understanding of buyer personas, competitive landscapes, and enterprise SaaS buying cycles.
Exceptional storytelling and content creation skills
Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling messaging.
