You will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's data assets and modeling requirements to support our advanced analytics and reporting capabilities within an Azure Databricks Medallion architecture. Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hands-On Data Architect with experience in GxP quality data to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder collaboration. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's data assets and modeling requirements to support our advanced analytics and reporting capabilities within an Azure Databricks Medallion architecture. Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Modeling

Design, implement, and maintain robust data models within a Medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) using Azure Databricks. Ensure that data models align with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and performance requirements. Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, design standards, and data lineage.

Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to gather, document, and prioritize data requirements. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment of data solutions with business objectives.

Hands-On Development

Work directly with datasets to validate, transform, and model data in compliance with GxP standards. Provide hands-on support for data preparation, cleaning, and transformation processes in the Databricks environment.

Governance & Quality

Establish and enforce data quality and integrity standards, especially for GxP-critical datasets. Support compliance efforts by ensuring data architecture adheres to regulatory and quality requirements.

Optimization & Innovation

Continuously identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and reliability of data systems. Research and recommend tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance data architecture and modeling practices.

MUST Haves

Education

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Experience

7+ years of experience in data architecture and modeling, with a focus on GxP quality data. Proven expertise in Azure Databricks and Medallion architecture design principles. Hands-on experience with data modeling tools and techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).

Skills

Strong understanding of GxP requirements, regulatory compliance, and data governance. Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data manipulation and modeling. Excellent ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions. Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools.

Soft Skills

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Business Ideals/Preference

CDL or EDW background experience within client. Quality Background (GxP, Agile Methodology). Quality Systems knowledge - LIMS, NC, CAPA, Audit systems such as Trackwise, Comet, Curve, PQMS, Summit, ETQ Instict. Based out of NJ/FL and available to be on site.
