Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
to be the newest member of our awesome team!
Salary Range: $250k-350k
About the Role The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is responsible for developing and executing a holistic people strategy that drives business growth by fostering a positive culture, improving employee engagement and retention, and aligning talent with organizational objectives. The CHRO serves as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and C‑suite, using metrics such as engagement rates to measure success.
Responsibilities
Lead the HR division as a key member of the executive leadership team.
Shape HR policies and design leadership development programs.
Manage talent pipelines, ensure legal compliance, and act as a trusted advisor to the C‑suite.
Oversee organizational design, change management, workforce planning, and staffing across all service lines.
Develop and implement innovative retention strategies and employee engagement programs.
Partner with Core Leadership to design and implement a robust leadership succession plan.
Design and maintain total rewards programs and benchmark compensation and benefits.
Foster a values‑based, inclusive workplace culture that promotes respect, accountability, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including healthcare‑specific regulations.
Leverage HRIS and analytics to measure HR effectiveness and support data‑driven decisions.
Identify and implement HR technologies and tools that improve employee experience and streamline HR operations.
Manage labor relations strategies, including collective bargaining and union negotiations, when applicable.
Qualifications
A BS/BA degree; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years of executive HR experience.
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM‑SCP) preferred; SHRM‑CP strong preference.
Understanding of business strategy, finance, and market dynamics to support people initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to interpret data, anticipate future trends, and develop long‑term strategies.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and supervisory leadership skills.
Thorough knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations.
Experience with diverse human resource information systems and Microsoft Office.
