Executive HR Business Partner Role at University of South Florida.

Organizational Summary Central HR consists of multiple areas of expertise including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Classification & Compensation; Employee and Labor Relations; Continuous Process Improvement, HRIS, HR Business Partners and Talent and Learning Management. USF Human Resources is embarking on a multi-year transformation focused on a Human Resources strategy that elevates our people so that the University and culture support a competitive workforce advantage in line with our strategic plan.

Primary Purpose The Academic Executive HR Business Partner serves as the leader of an Academic HR pod by partnering with Deans and leadership, key stakeholders and HR colleagues to shape, develop, and deliver HR plans and solutions to address immediate challenges and underlying goals.

Responsibilities

Proactively build an effective network of relationships based on trust in judgment, competence, and confidentiality.

Develop and implement organizational changes, as needed.

Oversee the management of consultation and support to the Academic HR Unit.

Manage initiatives that ensure the support, guidance, and development of HRBPs.

Collaborate with Deans, HR Academic Liaison, and senior leadership to establish, meet, and maintain departmental goals and objectives.

Address and resolve issues within the team that impact performance or culture.

Promote a productive workplace and ensure a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Thorough understanding of the University’s HR policies and processes.

Oversee all HR initiatives, systems, and tactics.

Support training and growth opportunities for the team.

Assure HR functions comply with regulatory standards and USF’s policies and are performed effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of related experience.

4-5 years of supervisory experience.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to drive strategic direction.

Oral and written communication skills.

Ability to build collaborative relationships with leadership.

Ability to develop and grow a team.

Working Conditions

Environment – Typical indoor environment

Physical Requirements – climbing, standing, stooping, and/or typing; Ability to lift up to 20lbs as needed.

Travel – Ability to travel to other USF campuses and/or other locations as requested.
