Full‑Time Family Medicine Physician – Wound Care
National Wound Physician Group is hiring a full‑time Family Medicine Physician to provide advanced wound management in Newport News, VA. The role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a 45‑hour work week without nights, call, or weekend responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learn from certified trainers and fellowship directors, and utilize cutting‑edge technologies and modalities.
Practice Overview
Full‑time: Monday‑Friday 7am‑4pm (or part‑time). Minimum 3 days per week.
No call or weekend clinical responsibilities.
Provide modern bedside wound management at skilled nursing facilities and long‑term acute care hospitals.
Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
Mobile practice within a 40‑60 mile radius; visit 2‑3 facilities per day treating 20‑30 patients per day.
Clinical documentation at point of care in real‑time through our proprietary wound‑specific EMR.
W2 employment contract; no work‑visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
Deliver bedside wound care to patients in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
Utilize cutting‑edge clinical technologies and wound care modalities.
Participate in a 6‑month wound care fellowship during onboarding.
Maintain documented wound rounds and real‑time clinical documentation.
Collaborate with site clinicians to advance wound management practices.
Requirements
Active unrestricted MD/DO license in the state of practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
