Gastroenterology physician interested in advancing our thriving inpatient consultative services.

General GI: The Division of Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai West (MSW) and Mount Sinai Morningside (MSM) Hospitals, with a history rich in clinical care and teaching, seeks a full-time Gastroenterology physician interested in advancing our thriving inpatient and outpatient services. As a new member of the full-time faculty, you will assume a primarily clinical role within the Division. The locations of these sessions may include, but are not limited to, the faculty practice gastroenterology office sites at 425 W. 59th Street, the Mount Sinai Morningside Ambulatory Care Center, 158 W. 124th Street for office hours, and the endoscopy suites at Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Morningside, and Upper West Side Endoscopy (Ansonia). With time, you may assume the office-based sessions at the Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), also known as the Ryan Centers.

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Full-time Gastroenterologist for Mount Sinai Queens Hospital.

The Division embraces the mission of Icahn School of Medicine, pursuing an integrated approach to patient care, research, and education, while fostering a true team spirit rich in collaboration and mutual support.

Faculty appointment in Gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Rigorous, efficient and collaborative GI assessments of hospitalized patients

Engage entire healthcare team—nursing, trainees, case management, family—with up-to-date recommendations for diagnostic testing and treatment

Encourage health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance, while providing patient advocacy. Ensure accuracy and efficiency with eye towards returning patients home and limiting length of stay

Serve as teaching faculty for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship Training Program and the Department of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program

Participate and perform quality assurance projects and lectures/presentations

Participate in Peer Review process

Qualifications

Medical Degree from an Accredited University

New York State Medical License

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Experience in and commitment to providing innovative health care to diverse patient populations

Commitment to the highest quality of clinical care

Commitment to education and clinical excellence

Compensation range from 425K to 500K(not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
