We are investing in a Growth Engineering team at Postman to help developers and teams onboard to a powerful product experience that starts with single-player developers and grows into teams that collaborate on the API lifecycle. We are building this team to optimize onboarding, reveal the full power of Postman, guide users to activation moments, and measure impact on retention and growth. To achieve our goals, we’ll need a talented, experienced engineer with a special interest in growth. We are looking for someone who cares deeply about details and builds user interfaces that delight users. You should be able to work with some autonomy, exercise good judgment, and ship quickly to improve the first-time user experience. You should expect to: Own and deliver.
Deliver improvements to the core product experience that help us achieve onboarding and activation goals. Deliver little big changes.
Implement small, measured changes that meaningfully impact end users and activation. Experiment and identify winners.
Leverage and improve our experimentation foundation to ship A/B tested changes that impact our goals. Own end-to-end workflows.
Own core workflows, driving measurable improvements to user experience, particularly for first-time users (sign-up, onboarding, and beyond). Deeply understand the user.
Work with developers using Postman to understand core workflows and improve the product. Learn and grow.
Broaden knowledge of the core product and domain, starting with first-time UX and expanding to deeper experiences in the user journey. Collaborate across boundaries and geographies.
Work with US and India teams to streamline collaboration. About You
Must have: At least 8+ years of experience building frontend or full-stack projects and user experiences. A track record of delivering impactful and engaging user experiences that delight users. Excellent communication skills. We operate in a hybrid, fast-moving environment. Detail oriented. You care about the product experience, even if you are not a designer. Measure twice, cut once. Analytical by nature with experience delivering features and changes that leverage analytics tools and experimentation techniques. Customer obsession. Able to leverage customer feedback to drive decisions and delight users. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Nice-to-have: Experience with React and state management tools like MobX. Experience with B2B products and/or developer tools. This role is based in the greater San Francisco area; salary range is estimated at $210,000 to $240,000 plus a competitive equity package.
