Senior Financial Analyst – Global Development Finance

Overview As a Senior Financial Analyst – Global Development Finance at Abbott Vascular, you will play a key role in developing detailed financial forecasts, monitoring departmental spending, and supporting strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended, and current business information.
Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget, highlighting material variances using system-generated detail and trend reports.
Design, develop, and publish financial dashboards and packages, identifying optimal KPI’s and metrics.
Perform financial analysis and recommend alternative courses of action utilizing appropriate financial tools (e.g., NPV, IRR).
Partner with business to evaluate new business opportunities, product life cycle management, and new product margin planning.
Prepare sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, expenses, and profitability by modeling changes in key variables.
Prepare accrual journal entries and assist in month-end close as needed, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
Participate in the development of less experienced staff, setting an example and providing guidance.
Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, marketing, and geographic finance to develop analytical models supporting division’s annual long-range planning.
Required Qualifications
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in financial planning and analysis; six years of combined experience in the above areas.
4-7 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, or equivalence in planning and quantitative analysis function.
Strong Excel skills.
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with financial management systems such as Hyperion, Dodeca, or equivalent.
ERP experience with SAP or similar systems.
Experience creating reports and dashboards in PowerBI from multiple data sources.
CPA and/or MBA a plus.
